This Regulation EC 261/2004 clearly defines the rights of airpassengers. The only exception is extraordinary circumstances such as; Political circumstances e.g. terror attacks, political unrest and security risks, extreme weather conditions, illness to a sick crew member or passenger, air strikes and delays at the airport for long queues at security checks.
